The Request for Proposals for the BuildingEnergy 16 Conference is now closed. The goal of BuildingEnergy 16 is a high-level conversation around vision for a sustainable, energy-efficient world.
Please read below about our proposal process:
The call for proposals for the following year’s conference is open during the month of June. Anyone is invited to submit proposals as a presenter or a content curator.
The role of the content curator was introduced at BuildingEnergy 15 by Conference Chair Matt Root, and many of most successful sessions at BuildingEnergy 15 were organized by committed curators (Click Here to read Matt Root's blog on Content Curation). The essential job of a content curator is to ensure that the session is informative, engaging and effective. The curator may or may not be a content area expert. S/he may or may not moderate or facilitate the session. The key qualifications are a desire to learn about the session topic and a commitment to create an outstanding learning experience for everyone present.
We look for sessions that identify with our topics of interest and burning questions within the following sectors and areas of focus:
Single family
Multi-family
Commercial and institutional
Cities, communities, place
Design & Construction Process
Mechanical & Lighting
Envelope
Renewables
Policy & Codes
Finance & Banking
Beyond Energy (Water, Carbon, Materials, etc.)
You may notice the submission form is simpler than in years past. We’re not asking you to have every detail worked out at this point. Instead we’re looking for enough information to get a sense of how your session will inform and inspire participants and fit in with the rest of the content at the conference. Once we review all of the proposals, we’ll get back in touch to refine those that we think will best work at BuildingEnergy.
