How has our approach to design and construction furthered the damage to indigenous culture and settlement patterns? What can we incorporate into our practices that would help repair them? What can we learn about approaches to design and construction from indigenous professionals and others? What can we learn from indigenous responses to global warming?

Both presenters members of area tribes. both are educators. Represent an ethnicity and viewpoint I don't remember being presented at BE before.

See our projects through a new lens, specifically how they interact with our history of land theft and genocide
Explore local indigenous building traditions in our communities
Incorporate indigenous responses to climate change into out practices.
Create connections with area indigenous design and build professionals.

Anything else you'd like to tell us about your session proposal?
I almost pissed myself when I heard of Chris and the class he teaches from a mutual friend. Can't think of a more perfect BE22 session. It will take some work from me and the committee to get the language ready in time, but it sounds like he and (hopefully) endawnis Spears could give the session tomorrow based on previous classes.
