Title: Climate change is everyone’s business: leveraging public-private partnerships
The need to reduce carbon emissions and slow down global warming has never been higher on the world’s political agenda. But delivering on these climate change commitments depends on close collaboration between public and private officials, multilateral institutions, and civil society. Businesses need a framework that support investments and governments need entrepreneurs who can turn ambition into action, whilst the awareness and engagement of civil society, is critical for realizing climate goals. This session will explore how public-private partnerships, can help move the needle on green innovations within the building sector.

Full Description
Mitigating the climate crises requires a fundamental transformation of all sectors, including the building sector. Market forces alone won´t solve the problems. We need governments to take the lead and set targets for achieving net-zero emissions. Luckily the building sector is well on the way, with ambitious targets to reach a net-zero emissions buildings goal by 2045. Businesses are the ones that need to provide scalable solutions which can succeed in shaping a sustainable build environment. Effective partnerships between actors will contribute to meeting the demand of the building sector and ensure that we deliver projects, products and services which contribute to customers, communities, and a sustainable world.
