Proposed Session Description
Come explore practical use cases for NEEP's cold climate Air source heat pump sizing tool. The tool, launched in 2021, is designed to assist ASHP designers and installers to more effectively size and select ASHP systems, particularly those designed for cold climate applications. Leveraging the extended performance date housed in the NEEP ccASHP product list, the tool creates visualizations and calculates unique performance insights to inform product selection for any project.
Diversity and Inclusiveness
Establishing best practices for ASHP desing and sizing will make the technology more attractive to new entrants in the workforce, including workers from diverse communities

ASHPs hold incredible promise as a decarbonization solution for homes and buildings. In order to ensure highest perfromance and maximum customer satisfaction, ASHPs must be sized and selected with care. Tools that are easy to use will contribute to the scalability of this solution.
