Proposed Session Description
In this session, we will provide a roadmap for building decarbonization that can actually make it profitable to lower carbon emissions from commercial buildings. Starting with an array of cost savings strategies and zero net cost building upgrades, utilizing 100% low cost financing, operating costs and Carbon emissions are lowered. This will increase building Net Operating Income and Valuation while allowing for the sale of Carbon Credits and accessing the newly expanded 179D tax deduction.
Why is this session important?
Commercial real estate emits nearly 40% of global carbon emissions while most commercial buildings are owned by private property owners who will determine if their buildings are decarbonized. Anyone who has worked with this clientele knows that they are driven almost exclusively by profitability or "Value Add." With the growing liabilities for excess Carbon emissions, Owners need to understand that building decarbonization is an essential component for a new Value Add Business Opportunity.
Diversity and Inclusiveness
We believe that the only way to get wide scale adoption of commercial building decarbonization is to get buy-in from building owners. Without wide scale commercial building decarbonization around the Globe, we will not be able to achieve the carbon reductions needed for Humanity to avoid the worst impacts of our Climate Crisis. And this Crisis will clearly impact the poorest of Nations and their inhabitants the greatest.
Learning Objectives
Access a network of financing options to pay for 100% of the cost of Green Building Upgrades.
Achieve building cost savings through no-cost Utility Audits, Utility Contract Brokerage, and utilizing a SaaS model for the upgrade of inefficient lighting, electrical and plumbing appliances.
Utilize the growing array of AI applications to optimize the performance of a Building Upgrade.
Qualify and apply for the 179D Tax Credit and the growing array of Government Incentives.
