Proposed Session Description
A third of Americans live in areas with unhealthy air (American Lung Association). Metalmark research shows that wildfire smoke is an especially harmful pollutant. A new Harvard study found that long-term exposure to even “safe” particulate levels significantly impacts people’s health. Ventilation is necessary for managing CO2 levels, but is unreliable given deteriorating outdoor air quality and it drives up energy costs. Combining ventilation with other solutions is critical for IAQ.
