Full Description
Now that operational carbon here in MA is being addressed by the new stretch and opt-in building codes, it's important that we turn our attention to embodied carbon. There are gaps in available data and differing opinions on how to handle things like biogenic carbon and fugitive refrigerant leaks. It's important to be transparent in these early stages. How reliable is the current EPD information, how do we realistically predict emissions for the next 60 years when we don't own or control a building, how do we will the gaps in EPD data. There is no time to wait for the this information, so we need to knowledge share and start building consensus.
