This session will present the various options for funding efficiency upgrades in commercial buildings. The presenters will also discuss how and why owners make decisions to move forward with energy upgrades: is it available funding, tenant requests, mission-driven, or none of the above? Panelists will review how to use re-financing, PACE, incentives, rebates, and traditional banking to improve the operations of a building and, most importantly, the value through increased leasing, reduced operations costs, and a streamlined approach to capital investments. Specific case studies will be discussed to highlight decision-making processes, funding opportunities, and how to create a cycle of change.
