This session will be an in-depth look at three of the largest university and hospital organizations in the New York Metropolitan area—New York Presbyterian Hospital, St. John’s University, and Princeton University—and how they have been able to achieve significant energy and carbon savings through a variety of innovative projects on their campuses. Representatives from each organization will share their approach to planning, implementing, and maintaining the effectiveness of distributed generation systems and energy conservation measures. The session will explore unique financial mechanisms, contrasting procedures, integration into planning processes, progress to date, and lessons learned. Each organization will also discuss their larger strategic initiatives and different approaches to meeting their goals.
