A discussion of all-electric ventilation solutions, decentralized vs. centralized ventilation, and how to provide indoor spaces with fresh, outside air in the most energy efficient way.
Ventilation
Why is this session important?
Ventilation plays a vital part in keeping occupants healthy and safe, while electrification significantly helps to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings. HVAC manufacturers need to adapt their
technologies and approaches to solving the current global challenges. This session will propose alternative strategies to lower energy consumption while bringing fresh air indoors, compared to
traditional products and designs.
Learning Objectives
Understand the financial, architectural and design benefits of decentralized ventilation design in commercial and multi-family residential buildings.
Learn to design energy-efficient ventilation systems with optimal occupant comfort with a deep dive into demand controlled ventilation (DCV).
