What happens when Alex Wilson tries to put into practice what he’s learned over the past 30 years in rebuilding his Vermont farmhouse? This interactive workshop will explore the creation of a net-zero-energy, deep-green, and resilient home. Alex and his designer-builder, Eli Gould, will review their nuts-and-bolts experiences and lessons learned with many innovative products and systems, including unusual insulation materials, new air barrier membranes and tapes, heat pump technology, waste heat recovery, high-performance storm window systems, islandable PV inverters, and a hand-powered water pump. Opportunities for new product development will also be addressed.
