Proposed Session Description
The United Nations has defined 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are to be achieved by 2030. The challenges are huge, but so are the benefits that be made by turning these challenges into opportunities. To do so, we need to challenge habitual thinking and produce new ideas, methods and designs.
The heat is on. In the face of climate change, we need creative thinking to enable novel solutions that foster more sustainable buildings and practices in the built environment. The big question is, how actors across the entire value chain, from early planning to implementation, can use the SDGs as a tool to create long-term value for users and society, while at the same time making a good business case.
Learning Objectives
How businesses and organizations can operationalize the work with the SDGs based on five concrete tools: develop SDG vision, define SDG and business focus, engage, implement and manage and measure impacts.
Understand and use the SDG Barometer.
How to utilize the benefits and accelerate the green transition by engaging multiple stakeholders via formal partnerships – a case from Denmark.
