Behind the meter instrumentation is potentially feasible in today’s market for the largest, most sophisticated buildings. However, how do we provide insight into, and stimulate action on, the less privileged building managed by less well-known and funded operators? Until baseline data is accessible for all buildings, the landscape of work done on buildings is shaped by who can afford to get their hands on their own consumption data.
