Proposed Session Description
Proposed session will focus on the advantages of micro wind technology as an important solution to the climate crisis. Solution will be supported by building energy use data and emissions calculations. Session will incorporate case studies and data from European countries that are more aggressively--and collectively--working to decarbonize than the United States.
Diversity and Inclusiveness
Micro wind technology is an inexpensive solution that can help decarbonize our most vulnerable, at-risk, and under-resourced communities.
Learning Objectives
Understand micro wind technology's potential to contribute to energy security and decarbonization
Explore micro wind's commercial success in Europe and its GHG emissions impact.

Full Description
This session incorporates a number of BuildingEnergy Boston's conference/proposal objectives related to climate resilience: scalability, decarbonization, innovation, accessibility. This technology can be deployed relatively quickly and cost-effectively, taking much-needed pressure off a power grid which is--at present--unprepared for the much-needed "electrify everything" movement. Micro wind technology is just one of many energy solutions needed to combat the human-caused climate crisis.
