Mark Schow has suggested this would be a great opportunity to speak so participants can gain some insight into added incentives in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) that apply to the industry.
Proposed Session Description
This presentation is designed to explain how to utilize new and updated tax benefits from the IRA and other tax laws in the energy and building industries - a year later. Our presentation will cover how the energy incentives from the IRA have been utilized a year after being signed into law. Participants will learn how to capture recent incentives for HVAC systems and other energy-efficiency upgrades as well as newly revived incentives for AE systems and energy-efficient upgrades.
Diversity and Inclusiveness
There are incentives for low-income communities that we believe can strongly benefit them.
Learning Objectives
To identify major programs being utilized by the green industry, including the Energy Policy Act (EPAct) and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).
To learn from actual case study results where these tax benefits have helped our greener building industry clients.
To understand how to apply the concepts from the updated EPAct incentives and alternative energy credits in the IRA to "green" projects.
To be able to perform tax and financial due diligence to obtain these tax incentives.
