Flaws in the air and vapor control layers may not only compromise comfort, efficiency and indoor air quality, but may also lead to premature failure. The requirement for meticulous detailing and installation is only magnified when using newer approaches and materials to reduce the embodied carbon of construction. Monitoring can play a critical role in understanding and managing these risks.
