For five years my wife and I typed and proofread Domenic Bucci's "Helio", RISEA's newsletter. I designed and helped to build an economical sustainable zero-fuel (none of this net-zero stuff) all year greenhouse in Rhode Island four years ago. It works fine.
Proposed Session Description
NESEA's role on the engineering side of the climate emergency should be obvious. We must lead. We plan. We explore frontiers. We dream. We call out frauds. I'm all for solar companies' economic sustainability, but if NESEA doesn't put on its tights and its cape today, who will? Paul Klinkman has published an enormous indexed personal invention website at klinkmansolar.com He dreams of active solar heat storage in buildings for 90% fuel displacement, of seasonal electrical power storage, of a transit revolution, of keeping the Arctic permafrost from melting, of inhibiting our world's rapidly growing megadrought problem and much more.
Diversity and Inclusiveness
It helps you to avoid ageism. My day job is at an English as a Second Language program for the Pawtucket, RI School Department. I'm comfortable working with all sorts of people with various skin tones.
Learning Objectives
Most important, attendees need hope, empowerment and an engineering path forward, something to work on.
Builders need to see a zero-fuel greenhouse that stores solar heat, and what a 90% fuel displacement building retrofit should look like.
Members of our community need to start picturing the partial replacement of fossil fuels for heating to higher industrial temperatures. There's a new market here.
Inhibiting climate change as an engineer needs to be envisioned as a valid engineering or planning career for younger people.

Comments about your speaker roster
Just me right now. I could use a volunteer moderator, as I'm an advocate and I expect (overeager?) commentators from the audience. The moderator might need to slow down any overeager commenters or move on to the next topic.
Anything else you'd like to tell us about your session proposal?
You've never seen anything like it. It compares to Buckminster Fuller's wave of innovations, except it's all focused within a critical field for the planet. You can get a sneak preview by typing "klinkmansolar.com" into your browser.
