Proposed Session Description
The MA Stretch Code now includes Phius as a compliance path. This workshop will chart a critical path through the Phius design and construction process as it relates to Stretch Code, Specialized Opt-in Code and Fossil Fuel-Free pilot community requirements for residential and non-residential building typologies.
Learning Objectives
Examine Phius Core and Zero requirements, when the Phius compliance path is mandatory and how it compares with other MA 10th edition Stretch Code compliance paths
Identify Phius responsibilities of design disciplines and critical path items that are required for a successful building permit submittal on the Phius compliance path.
Detail Phius best practices in the transition between design and construction
Explain the Phius Certification review process and its overlay and impacts on construction schedules and BPDA documentation requirements.
