Proposed Session Description
Radical transparency It is a way to foster a more transparent and ethical business environment. As a management style it promotes honesty, openness, and accountability in all aspects of a company and encourages a culture of continuous improvement and learning, while offering a more inclusive and equitable distribution of resources. Whether through cost plus construction pricing or cooperative company ownership, there is so much to gain from practicing radical transparency.

Learning Objectives
To understand what transparency through team work means in a cooperative office environment.
To understand how a cost plus/ time and materials transparent type of construction contract make a job more team oriented, financially stable, cooperative and collegial.
To understand how to engage clients and other stakeholders in a way that builds trust, education and buy in on sustainable measures.
To understand how radical transparency with ones 'self' can improve management style, and business relationships on every level.

Elizabeth has presented at NESEA twice before, and at other conferences a half dozen times. We don't have a video available through a weblink but can dig up one or two to send.
Anything else you'd like to tell us about your session proposal?
I know its a bit 'out there' ...more aligned with some of the old school NESEA 'Whole Systems in Action' sort of talks. I understand if it does not really land in any category.

Full Description
Everything about Radical Transparency aids in resilience. By its very definition it fosters honesty, openness, awareness and learning, all of which foster an atmosphere of sharing and evolving in systems, businesses and relationships.
Advancing these behaviors in people and businesses is necessary to advance resiliency in the work we do and will ultimately result in resiliency in our ecology, economy and the planet as a whole.
Radical Transparency can be implemented within an organization, systems and work at a small or large level and will ultimately lead to better finances, better relationships with clients, stakeholders and the public, and greater satisfaction at a personal level.
In professional relationships, this can foster trust, accountability, and efficient communication. By being transparent about expectations, goals, and challenges, individuals can better understand each other's perspectives and work together towards common objectives. It can create a more inclusive and informed environment, leading to better decision-making for the whole
Concrete examples of Radical Transparency in action can be discussed in up to four categories during this presentation (Four may be too man- happy to reduce to two or three.) The four categories would be:
1. Team Work and Cooperative/ Employee-Owned Businesses
2. Constructions Pricing: Cost Plus (Time and materials) versus fixed price
3. Client/ stakeholder relationships, education and Buy- in
4. Personal /self-awareness in management style and in skill sets and relationships on the job.
Of course, this will all be more fleshed out and could easily fill 90 minutes with Q+A time included. OR I could reduce to just a couple of key points.
I believe this is timely as many companies within the NESEA membership are shifting to Employee-owned coops and to more equitable and evolved ways of doing business.
