The session will present new information on the cost effectiveness of behind-the-meter energy storage; new incentives for installing storage, including rebates, performance incentives and zero-interest loans; and a look at upcoming state policy that will further support distributed storage in Massachusetts. Presenters will share a first-in-the-nation public analysis of the cost-effectiveness of storage, including both energy and non-energy benefits (like resiliency). They will also explain how you can cost-effectively install storage using incentives from the SMART solar and energy efficiency programs. They will explain the economics of behind-the-meter storage, with case studies. They will share early results from state grant programs. And they will discuss the role of storage in the upcoming Clean Peak Standard and energy storage procurement target.
