This session will explore the impact individual building occupants have on the whole building energy footprint and discuss ways to increase occupant engagement in active energy management, increase participation in sustainability initiatives, and encourage energy conscious decisions. We will talk about utilizing energy consumption data available to building management and ways to develop engaging active participation from occupants in the overall sustainability plan.

Energy-savings opportunities exist in buildings everywhere. Whether a building is new or old, large or small, energy systems will inevitably deteriorate without high-quality maintenance (or without fixing systems improperly configured in the first place). Identification of these problems and their ideal solutions is an expensive and time consuming process, and expertise is limited. This session will explore a variety of software strategies that are helping building operators tackle this problem. We will explore real-world case studies and achieved results.
