Round 1: No
Round 1: NoI like the concept but there is almost no information here. Those are not really learning objectives, and there is no description of the workshop elements or any of the covered content. With this level of description, I must say no.
MAYBE - The topic is
MAYBE - The topic is important. Reminds me of my introduction to Environmental Psychology and the case studies in Boston and St. Louis of urban renewal failures in close, ethnic neighborhoods where new hi-rise residential towers were actually torn down because they disrupted the social fabric of established communities. Bringing the residents to the development discussion is a lesson learned. However, this session seems mis-placed at NESEA - this is a topic that could be classified as sustainable, but there is no mention of how energy is incorporated. Needs to be fleshed out more to better understand the content of the session. There is mention of break-out sessions which suggests a deeper dive. I would vote against that level of involvement, I don't think this topic merits that focus at NESEA.
Round 1: Maybe.
Round 1: Maybe.I'm intrigued by the idea but the session proposal is a bit vague. Is this a brainstorming session for AEC of color? Is this a presentation on how development teams can be more intentional about the organizations and tradespeople they engage to ensure community perspectives are included in planning and implementation? Is it a spotlight on how professionals of color have carved out spaces within real estate development to promote those perspectives?I would like to see some of these groups listed and at least two more speakers confirmed as well as a clearer session structure established (is it an interactive presentation? working group session? educational activity?). Who is the desired audience? Is this a closed session based on audience?
