Decarbonization Training for Facility Managers

Round1: Yes, absolutely. As most the sessions are usually focused on the techniques and solutions, the importance of education and training Facility Managers is a good thought. The success and reach of this session would depend on having the diverse mix of speakers, currently it has only speakers from Eversource. The session can also include some casestudies to relate to the benefits mentioned in the proposal. This proposal is similar to "Sealing the O&M Gap: Empowering Building Operators" proposal so one of the session could be selected.
Round 1 Discussion:
Round 1 Discussion:Any opportunity to connect with NYSERDA/have them address their program? Topic is important. Perhaps turn this into a panel/something more extensive. Is there enough of an audience for this or would we use this to recruit (facility managers/owners). Another potential angle: how can you pitch this training? Maybe we only need one session for this audience. Would love to see more clear lessons (some kind of clear list "5 biggest ways" "3 most important XX"

Round 2: Yes. Experience of speakers communicating with a diverse group of stakeholders are a strength. I like how they show cool metrics (carbon emissions) on the 7 programs they have. If chosen as a finalist, would like to really push for adding a facilities manager as a speaker. The curator will have to make sure that speakers share information (objectives #2 & #3) that is actionable for the audience. Feedback/Addressed CommentsSpeakers: It is possible for them to add a facilities manager as a speakerCase Study: It is possible for them to add a case study Angle - How to pitch the training: Yes, it is possible to add (see outline below how they plan to add it)Session Formant: They originally put down 4 different types of session formats - was flexible and was willing to do what the conference organizers felt was best (original impression of proposer). After speaking with them, seems like presentation or structured conversation is best Building Type: In the proposal, it says retrofit and commercial. Although the 6 eversource programs are applicable to a wide range of buildings, speakers will focus more on industrial facilites (i.e. manufacturing, factories, CNC facilities, waste water treatment etc.). The data gathered and the speakers are from the industrial side of the program. Type of training program: Session will focus on is their EUA program which is on-site coaching. How it works - facility manager will walk around the facility with consultant/contractor/engineer and find ways to save energy Strengths of Speakers: They work with a diversity of industrial buildings and people to communicate with. Round 1: Maybe to Yes. Would love to have a Facility Manager as one of the speakers. Suggested session format a little bit confusing.
