ROUND 2 - YES, will be a lot
ROUND 2 - YES, will be a lot to curate.A lot of flexibility in where this presentation could go. Fine condensing to 60 minutes, or outlining valuable breakout sessions for an extra 30 minutes iwth a mix of stakeholders to workshop some of the buildings that are in the gap. Haym wants to ensure the results aren't too negative, but productive. Speaker list above tbd depending on a direction they're asked to focus. Through the active engagement period, there are lessons learned about which types of buildings were able to say yes to holistic decarbonziation retrofits, and which properties couldn't make it work even with lucrative financial rebates. Also experience working with the T&A at the Accelerator, and seeing how there is still more to do to get the scale of assistance needed. They were working with NYSERDA directly to get NYC participation in the program. Also a lot of work with ConEd incentives.Could be targeted at finding the first building types that worked well in the current environment to get started. There are 2 25-30 unit Brooklyn properties that are in the middle of their retrofits now and might be done by conference, that provide good examples of where it did work to sign a comprehensive decarbonization retrofit contract. Could be targeted at policy/incentive program leads/contractors to understand buildings that are in the gap. IE Tried getting community aggregate of similar property types bid out at once to contractors and there wasn't a contractor appetite. Incentives still leave a project 5x plus where a like for like boiler replacement would be where they chose to replace their boiler instead of installing a new system.
