Welcome Bram Moreinis, New Director of Communications & Marketing

NESEA is delighted to welcome Bram Moreinis aboard as our new director of communications and marketing.

In our interviews, we were most excited that Bram was not only a strong communicator, but came with deep knowledge of the communications platforms NESEA uses.  We are also looking forward to drawing on Bram’s Instructional Design background, as we plan to bring more training and professional development online to sustain community learning between face-to-face events.  From Bram’s profile:

After supporting public school reform with technology at classroom, school and district scales, then founding a web development firm with ex-students, Bram recently moved to Greenfield, earned an Instructional Design degree from UMass/Boston, and set out for a career creating engaging, learner-centered courses and eLearning modules.

This new position at NESEA isn't exactly that, but it draws on Bram's experiences in Internet marketing, strategic planning, publications work, and business integration. On the green front, after producing the newsletter for a Hudson Clearwater Sloop Club chapter,  Bram was the first webmaster for Sustainable Hudson Valley, focused on sustainable economic development (like Building Alliances for Local Living Economies, or BALLE).

Through SustainHV, Bram participating in community planning charettes (piloting EarthCharter’s EarthCat software) and tabled at conferences.  While tabling, Bram was recruited to mastermind group of green entrepreneurs seeking to create a "greenbuilding conversion" franchise to help contractors get state certified, share online resources and defray marketing expenses.

These experiences fuel Bram’s current interest in Green Economy Industry Cluster development organized by Southeastern Vermont Economic Development Strategies (SeVEDS) and Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC), and he will be joining me on the initiative’s Knowledge Action Team.

Bram is a fan of Alaskan Malamutes, and offers this video for the like-minded:  http://btheb.com/zoltan.  His professional website is http://myinstructionaldesigns.com.
