Maybe. I think this is a topic that many building owners would be interested in, but I think the panel would only be beneficial if it included more speakers than just the submitter. If we have the chance to ask the submitter to expand the panel, I think this could be a great panel. I think showing bulding owners that it is in their financial interest to decarbonize is the quickest way to catch the attention of decision-makers, so this could advance the decarbonization discussion.
Round 1 discussion: Felt
Round 1 discussion: Felt sales pitchy - marketing heavy. Don't we already know about DR? CM wants to revisit re: GEBs. Operator perspective would ground this session. How was it working with this tech? This submission did a good job talking about DEI perspective and how the tech benefits DACs. Move ahead ONLY if we can get operator and demand response pieces into this session. Christina for Round 2.

Round 2: Yes (but ok if it doesn't make it)- C-Power is an industry leader in GEBs -- this space includes electrification, thermal storage, controls, resident engagement, facilities staff engagement, etc.- C-Power team is excited to include other stakeholders -- aggregator, building controls manufacturer, and/or DER owner- Panel could include DOE Connected Communities representative -- discussing complex, networked, automated grid-interactive buildings, and how to use new technology to manage building loads based on grid signals- The topic is critical to grid modernization and building electrification. I think we can diversify the speakers and make this an exciting, new, educational session re: battery storage, flexible loads in multifamily buildings, residential participation in DCM & DR vs. c&i, etc.-- 6/14 update -- other panelists that make up the “DNA” of a Smart Building / GEBTBLSentient BuildingsNewlabWatchWireViridiNYSERDA/ConEd
